Right now, four experienced pilots are crossing North America aboard two Stemme motorgliders as part of the Trans-North America Mountain Wave Expedition 2026.

Among them are Klaus Ohlmann, one of the most accomplished soaring pilots in history and holder of numerous world records, and Markus Lowandowski from Mountain Soaring, well known within the Stemme community for introducing pilots to some of the world's most spectacular mountain flying environments.
